The Marsupilami is in the zoo now, locked up in a small cage with one branch and a football. After Robbedoes and Kwabbernoot have visited him, they decide to bring him back to the jungle. Just then they get a call from the manager of the zoo, informing them of the death of the Marsupilami. They return immediately, but upon their arrival the corpse has vanished. So it wasn't dead, but where is it? The chase for the thief(s?) begins... | ||

Robbedoes and Kwabbernoot learn that the owners of the Turbot-factories fear that the plans for their new car will be stolen. So one of them has taken them with him to Africa, but the criminals are on his trail. Our friends find out where he is, and go to help him. But in the mean time Martin has given the plans (on microfilm), to the son of a tribe-chief, and he has given them to his father, who has hidden them very well. In the horn of a rhino. It would be the best if the Marsupilami could be brought back to the zoo. But the zoo doesn't exist anymore, so maybe returning him to the Palombian rainforest is the perfect solution after all. Upon their arrival there, they get in trouble with the army. They are rescued however by general Zantas, the local potentate. This Zantas is no other than Kwabbernoot's cousin Wiebeling, who they encountered in their first adventures together. Wiebeling proposes them to become his generals, and together they can start a war against a neighboring country... | ||

Kwabbernoot lost a few pictures. Sounds trivial, but this is the beginning of quite a mystery. It continues when Kwabbernoot has been seen robbing a jewelry, but claims he wasn't there. Later hundreds of thousands of spectators see live on TV how he steals a golden mask, but again he says he was somewhere else. The first time the police sort of believed him, the second time not anymore. And then purely by coincidence Robbedoes figures out what really happened. But he needs proof... | ||

The count has invented a new substance, X4, which makes beings extremely intelligent. He decides to try it on himself, and as a challenge he responds to a game in which the one that can bring a human to 200m. below the sea, and allow him to do some work there, wins $6000. The result is a series of inventions, but saboteurs seem to be aware of what he is doing, and they do everything they can to destroy the first prototypes... | ||

Kwabbernoot will try to write a report about Incognito-city, the place where the rich and famous try to live a calm life. Just when they want to leave the Marsupilami arrives at their place, exhausted. They want to contact the count so he wouldn't be worried about the animal, but they cannot reach him. On their way to Incognito-city they come in touch with a few less friendly people - and inside the city they'll meet them again, obviously with less friendly plans... | ||

Robbedoes and Kwabbernoot leave for a photo-expedition to central Africa. Their arrival coincides with the beginning of the rain-season, but that cannot stop them. Someone else does seem to want to do the same, with one sabotage after the other... | ||

Kwabbernoot is asked to prepare a lecture about the life in the rain-forest of Central Africa, after his last adventure. He hesitates, since the film isn't ready. By the time he found a friend where he can finish the film, the organiser has already found another lecturer. And it turns out to be Ijzerlijm, who visits Robbedoes and Kwabbernoot to invite them to the truly amazing footage she'll show at her lecture... | ||

In the ice of the South Pole the count has found a dinosaur-egg. The extreme cold has kept it good for several thousands of centuries, and back in his lab the count will try to make the egg hatch. A Russian and an American scientist have developed a remarkable little machine. The Russian is staying with Count Rommelgem, where Robbedoes and Kwabbernoot meet him - despite the efforts of Rommelgem to prevent it. They find out that the American is being held by the Chinese, who would like to know a little more about the machine. He is being held prison inside a Buddha statue, and Robbedoes and Kwabbernoot have got to get him out of there, before he cracks under the pressure... | ||

Kwabbernoot receives a hair-dryer from a fan, and tries it out immediately. Robbedoes finds him fainted, but he recovers quickly. He does however have no control over himself, and walks into a car that drives away - without a driver. Later Robbedoes undergoes a similar experience, and this is enough for the Count to understand an old college-pal has shown up, trying to impress him... | ||

Upon their return to the village, Robbedoes, Kwabbernoot and the count notice the villagers are all under the influence of a Z-ray. Of course: Jochem, the last Zwendelman is still on the loose. John Helena escapes from prison. His goal seems to be to get the gold still hidden in the sunken "Discreet" (see album 9). Robbedoes, Kwabbernoot and the count are using the only finished submarine (the other one was stolen by Helena) to try to find out where Helena is hiding. But while roaming the sea, they see a cow? And the marsupilami, with a roasted chicken? And it seems a third party is trying to prevent them from diving... | ||

Kwabbernoot is after a scoop. Something about an ice-breaker coming in the harbor for repairs, but is in quarantine since everyone on board has some unknown disease. One man manages to escape: John Helena, and old acquaintance. But he's green, and obviously not really well. Kwabbernoot calls Robbedoes, and together they take him to the count, who has only one solution: take Helena to a basis on the south pole, since there is the only place where a substance is that is to be mixed with a special mushroom he developed. But on their way there the boys meet all sorts of obstacles... | ||
