(The season of the storms)
|A girl wakes up in the house of the prince of Madargane, in Maurania. She doesn't remember who she is. The people that have taken care of her tell her she must be Ann Smith since it says so in her passport, and that she survived a plane-crash. The prince however seems to know who she is, and the rebels are pretty sure she's the daughter of the king, and they want to avoid at all cost that she reaches him...
(The desert of the Molgraves)
|Ann Smith travels south through the rain. She needs to cross the Maur river, but the rains have made it too dangerous. The only place is a bit upstream in the desert of the Molgraves, but they are not known for their hospitality. Ann has no choice though. An accident forces her to continue the journey on foot, a trip that is not free of risks. What she doesn't know is that the rebels are closing in on her...

John Harambee, who governs the community, recognizes her and contacts the king so he can send someone to pick her up. He locks her in, but she escapes into the mine. There she ends up in the middle of a conflict between engineer Dada and John Harambee...

|Seated on an elephant and accompanied by her leopard Ann Smith falls into the hands of the revolutionary army. She's emprisoned on just a few dozen feet from the Black Safe, the king's ship. She escapes though, and enters the ship. It's like entering her memories, going back in time...
