Quick & Flupke - Quintett

Quick & Flupke
(by Hergé)
See also: Comic Errors

As a kid I used to have one of a series in which they are called "Kwik & Flupke".  Don't know why they altered it at first, and neither do I know why they now gave him the original name back.

Nr. Cover Title Story
1 Cover Quick and Flupke Verboden Spelletjes
(Forbidden Games)
Quick and Flupke are two very nice boys, but just like every other nice boy from their age they do have good intentions, but it doesn't always work out the way they planned it...
2 Cover Quick and Flupke Niks aan de hand
(Nothing going on)
Another series of cute 2-page adventures.
3 Cover Quick and Flupke Hoogspanning
(High tension)
The colophon indicates these aren't by Hergé, and I'm afraid the difference is clear.  Still, they're more than enjoyable.
4 Cover Quick and Flupke Alle zeilen bij
(Hoist all sails)
Smart, inventive, charming... And funny.
5 Cover Quick and Flupke Elk op zijn beurt
(Each in his turn)
More of this old-fashioned but not at all outdated humor.
6 Cover Quick and Flupke Erop of erover
(Kill or cure)
Romans, Cowboys, Indians, Jugglers, Fakirs, Inventors,... And much more.
7 Cover Quick and Flupke Pardon Mevrouw
(Sorry Madam)
A bit more philosophical this one.  But not less fun.
8 Cover Quick and Flupke Leve de vooruitgang
(Long live progress)
Progress indeed, in all its meanings.
9 Cover Quick and Flupke Wat een ramp!
(What a disaster!)
Accidents, riots, disasters - and a lot of fun :-)
10 Cover Quick en Flupke Vuurwerk!
(Fireworks!)
Lots of fireworks indeed - but not always as they expected.
11 Cover Quick and Flupke Pure bluf Pride goes before a fall, as these boys demonstrate over and over again.
12 Cover Kwik and Flupke Riemen vast
(Fasten seatbelts)
Misunderstandings, misunderstandings, misunderstandings.
In their view at least.
