The 21st of July is Belgium's National Holiday, but I went to the centre of Brussels, to the Poelaertplein near the Palace of Justice to be precise, for another reason: the display of vehicles used in Tintin's stories.

This year Belgium celebrates its 175th anniversary, and the 25th anniversary of conversion to federalism.  And since last year Tintin celebrated his 75th birthday this seemed like a good moment to have the first Tintin Festival ever.  A new mural of Tintin, Haddock and Snowy was unveiled on wednesday the 20th, the 21st there was the vehicle show of which you can see some impressions on this page, and later during the week there were events such as a Cinemarathon, a Bal Masqué, a concert, and many other events.
