P. G. Wodehouse

I discovered Wodehouse because of something I read in Reader's Digest.  Don't recall what anymore, and I don't feel like looking for it right now.  But I do recall they mentioned that Jeeves was one of the "children" of this funny writer.  "OK, why not", I thought.  And in a book sale I found a few Jeeves-collections.

I love them.  More than any other funny story I've read, though the people on Blandings Castle may be on second, but close.  The language, the setting, the habits, everything seems very exact to me - and the protagonists' silliness is beyond anything I ever read.  If you feel like some light-hearted fun, Wodehouse is the one to turn to.

  • Right ho, Jeeves!
  • Very good, Jeeves!
  • The Best of Wodehouse on Golf
  • Do butlers burgle banks?
  • Laughing Gas
  • Pigs have Wings
