Antwerpen 1585 (Antwerp 1585) |
Patrick is writing an novel about Mechtilde, a woman who ended up being burned after an accusation of witchcraft, in 1279. He'd love to have a copy of a manuscript of Mechtilde, Visio Veritatis. His girlfriend Virginia stumbles upon one when she's in Brussels. She reads the book, and from then on she changed: nightmares about the Spanish overpowering of Antwerp in 1576, strange behavior at parties, and at her work she's not quite doing what's expected of her either... |

Sevilla 1600 | The government of Pakistan is not amused with Belgium's decision, a decision which was apparently based on false information. Patrick tries to understand what happened to Virginia. A police inspector informs him his wife was seen with a known terrorist, who apparently manipulated his wife. But why? His research about the book brings him in contact with someone who is in the diplomatic mission that should deal with the disturbance caused by the Belgian decision. Coincidence? The book didn't bring the man any luck, that's for sure... |
