Comanche is a young woman who owns a farm, and runs it with the help of an old-timer, "Ten Gallons". In the beginning she struggles, but when in the first album the real hero of this series, Red Dust, arrives, things start to go better. Later more people join in, and we can watch the farm grow, and follow a small part of the evolution of life in "The Wild West" at the same time.

Red Dust | A stranger arrives in Greenstone Falls with the stage-coach. He is immediately taken apart by a polished gentleman, who takes him for someone else. But the misunderstanding is soon cleared out, as one of the gentlemen's gunslingers recognizes Red Dust, who is not the extra gunman the gentlemen had ordered to come. All these gunmen are here to push a young girl, Comanche, over the edge and sell her farm. Red decides to have a look at the farm to check out why... |

Things are going well on the "666" ranch. The railroad needs all the cattle they can deliver, and for the first time the future looks bright. Until the Cheyenne come and take all the cattle that was meant for the workers at the railroad. They should be in their reservation, and they should get food from the government, but the Indians have waited far longer than the agreements would require. Red and Comanche are going with them to negotiate... |

The stagecoach is being chased by the Dobbs brothers, and only because a few cowboys from the "666" ranch come to the rescue - and a passenger shoots very well - they leave their prey. They were not there for the passenger, "preacher" Braggshaw, but for a box. Which was empty, but they didn't know. They do find out though. And then the chase begins, by both the Dobbs and teams from the ranch, to find the one transporting all that money, all on his own... |

Russ Dobbs is still on the run, and Red Dust is still behind him. Dobbs leaves a trail of corpses, but Dust is closing in. One evening he arrives in an inn where he hears some good news: Dobbs is out of ammunition. But bad news as well: one of the guests at the inn is a weapon merchant with heaps of ammo with him, ánd Dobbs is no longer alone. Dust will have to look behind him as well from now on... |

Dust, or rather, prisoner 717, is released after having been in prison for 20 months out of the 5 years he was sentenced to. Back in Greenstone Falls he is to report to the sheriff twice per week, don't drink alcohol, and don't carry firearms. Kids tease him, people are trying to get a fight with him... But those are just minor problems. Shotgun Marlowe and his gang have announced their presence. Most men get weak knees when hearing that, so the sheriff and his deputies need everyone able to carry a gun and not shoot their own foot off - which is Red Dust... |

Drunk Cheyenne are racing through the streets, others are attacking lone farms, just for fun. Or so it seems. The army would like to intervene, but Dust manages to make them see the wider story, which goes back to the second album of this series. Three Cheyenne brothers, one neutral on Comanche's farm, one head of a tribe in a reservation, one on the loose attacking the white. And to complicate matters, Dust is ordered to take care of a photographer. With a balloon... |

Red looks for a job on a farm. The farmer doesn't really trust him at first because of the gun on his hip, he thinks Dust is some kind of a gunslinger. But Red becomes accepted.
There is a piece of land that is unused, and apparently not suitable for farming. It turns out it has an underground interesting for mining, and a company has already noticed this. They send someone, Devil Finger, to "help" the family to take the decision to move. But then we find out why the farmer has something against gunslingers... |

The farm is being rebuilt, and just needs some paint. Then a stranger shows up, the forerunner of five other ex-sheriffs that once had to deal with the Ruhmanns. This time the gang leads a small army, and they are besieging a village. The group of former sheriffs wants the help of Red, but he refuses. Until he hears that Comanche's business brought her to the besieged village... |

A night on the town, in the Velvet Spur. It's been a while since Dust was there, and the Dutchess gives him a warm welcome. Someone from the East, selling the very new concept of insurances, manages to irritate Dust quite a lot, but just before a fight Comanche comes rushing in yelling that the ranch is on fire. Dust immediately suspects the insurance-man... |

After 21 days of rain the people from the ranch check the damage, and count the drowned cattle. Among those poor animals they find a dead man, not drowned but killed by two bullets. He has papers indicating his name is Brown, but Dust notices that there is a hole in the man's shirt, and a hole in the man's body, but no hole in the papers between them... |

The stagecoach arrives at a trading post. It's too quiet. A body lies in the sun. When everyone gets out a few men come out of the post and just kill everyone from the coach, only some Cheyenne Indians are witnesses. They warn the sheriff, and Dust can provide the final piece of the puzzle. A hunt begins... |
