Tibet, 1955. A man finds something amazing in a cave before he's attacked by a bear. He survives just long enough to reach the valley, be brought to a doctor, and tell about the azure Buddha he found, and then he dies. The same bear nurses a child for a few months, before it's found by a man who thinks she might be the reincarnation of Lhahl, a mustic from the past. 8 Year later the young Gifford runs away from home to join Songtsen who wants to look for his relatives in Tibet.
